On the use of multiple-valued wave functions in the analysis of the Aharonov-Bohm effect

Summary

In contrast to the predominant viewpoint that multiple-valued stationary-state solutions to the Schrodinger equation for a particle in long-range magnetic flux are extraneous and nonphysical, a physically significant interpretation is provided that accounts for the recent successful use of multiple-valued wave functions to analyse a split-beam quantum interference experiment.
