Summary

Reacting to the continuing impoverishment of species, Bavaria has prepared a program for the protection of endangered species and biotopes. For each county, the occurrence of the most important animal and plant species, and habitats is listed, including necessary measures for each natural region. This program, a specialsubject-matter program, is meant to be a decision aid for all administrative bodies and institutions.
