The Cayley equations of a reducible Feynman diagram

Summary

The leading Landau curve of a once-reduced sixth-order ladder diagram is studied by using the formalism of the Cayley determinants. From the Landau equations Cayley equations are derived which represent a reducible algebraic curve in the (s,t)-plane. The properties of said curve are derived. The Cayley equations are proved to be equivalent to the Landau ones even if the former represent a reducible curve.

Riassunto

Facendo uso del formalismo dei determinanti di Cayley, si studia la curva di Landau (relativa a valori tutti ≠0 dei parametri di Feynman) corrispondente ad un diagramma a scala con una linea contratta. Dalle equazioni di Landau si deducono delle equazioni di Cayley, le quali rappresentano una curva algebrica riducibile nel piano dis et. Si ricavano le proprietà di detta curva. Si dimostra che le equazioni di Cayley sono equivalenti alle equazioni di Landau, anche nel caso in cui le prime rappresentano una curva riducibile.

Резюме

Используя формализм определителей Кейлея, исследуется главная кривая Ландау для однократно-приведённой лестничной диаграммы шестого порядка. Из уравнений Ландау выводятся уравненения Кейлея, которые представляют приводимую алгебраическую кривую вs,t-плоскости. Выводятся свойства указанной кривой. Доказывается, что уравнения Кейлея зквивалентны уравнениям Ландау, даже если первые представляют приводимую кривую.
