Strangeness-changing neutrino reactions as a possible test for charm

Summary

The consequences of the Cabibbo theory and the Weinberg theory in its special version of Glashow, Iliopoulos and Maiani are contrasted by looking at \(|\Delta S| = 1v{\mathbf{ }}{\text{and}}{\mathbf{ }}\bar v\) reactions. It is shown that above the threshold for charmed-particle production the ratios Open image in new window are quite different in both models.

Следствия теории Кабиббо и теории Вейнберга, её специального варианта Глащоу, Илиопулоса и Майани, являются противоположными, если рассматривать\(|\Delta S| = 1v{\mathbf{ }}{\text{and}}{\mathbf{ }}\bar v\)-реакции с |ΔS| = 1. Покаэывается, что выще порога для рождения «щарм »-частиц отнощения Open image in new window сильно отличаются в зтих двух моделях.

Riassunto

Osservando le reazioni con \(v{\mathbf{ }}{\text{e}}{\mathbf{ }}\bar v\) per |ΔS| = 1 si contrappongono le conseguenze della teoria di Cabibbo e quelle della teoria di Weinberg nella speciale versione di Glashow, Iliopoulos e Maiani. Si mostra che al di sopra della soglia per la produzione di particelle incantate i rapporti Open image in new window sono alquanto diversi nei due modelli.
