Higher-order corrections to the Λ binding energy in nuclear matter

The convergence of the usual expansion for the well depthD of a Λ-particle in nuclear matter is examined for a pion-exchange potential and a square-well potential. Terms of second order in the Λ-nucleon potential tail are found to give important contributions toD.
