Conclusions

In this essay I have tried to show how sometimes, mundane clinical and laboratory observations lay foundations of epidemiological research, the latter make some profound statements about our collective behavior. Research could also reveal the effects of various socio-political phenomena or unearth the tragedies of bungling public policies.
