Summary

The free-electron model is applied in the form given by Brooks to calculate atomic dimensions in binary alloys. Results are in good agreement with experiments for mono- and divalent components. This may be understood as a confirmation that, at least for these cases, the free-electron picture is quite realistic.

Si è applicato il modello ad elettroni liberi, nella forma data da Brooks, al calcolo delle dimensioni atomiche nelle leghe binarie. Per componenti monovalenti e divalenti i risultati sono in buon accordo con gli esperimenti.
