Vorticity and current density generated behind a hydromagnetic shock in a thermally conducting gas

Summary

The present work deals with the flow across a hydromagnetic-shock surface in a thermally conducting gas. It is found that the vorticity and current density just behind the shock are independent of the thermodynamical behaviour of the gas under the boundary condition [p, i]n i=0. Explicit expressions for the vorticity and current density behind the shock surface have been calculated.
