Temperature effects on NLS solitons

Summary

Temperature effects on NLS solitons are discussed in the framework of thermo-field-dynamics. The soliton is described in terms of a localized quantum condensation at finite temperature. A critical temperatureTc is defined, such that asTTc the soliton becomes unstable.
