Nontrivial anisotropic supergravity cosmological solution

Summary

We present the first nontrivial anisotropic cosmological solution ofd = 11 supergravity. The solution given is of typeM ¹ × M⁷, where the metric onM ⁴ is of Bianchi type-VI₀ andM ⁷ is taken to bo the locally flat torus. The behaviour of the solution near the initial singularity and at later stages of the expansion is discussed.
