Effective ΔI=1/2 rule in the three-pion decays of kaons

Summary

The universal nonleptonic weak Hamiltonian of ref. (1, 2) is used to compute, without further dynamical assumptions, the decay amplitudes for all K→πππ processes. The results can be expressed in terms of two parameters. An effective ΔI=1/2 rule is obtained, and some interesting structural features are noted.

Si usa l'hamiltoniano debole, non leptonico, universale delle ref. (1, 2) per calcolare, senza ulteriori ipotesi dinamiche, le ampiezze di decadimento di tutti i processi K→πππ. I risultati possono essere espressi in funzione di due parametri. Si ottiene una regola ΔI=1/2 effettiva e si rilevano alcune interessanti caratteristiche strutturali.
