Summary

55 type I fractures were reviewed. There were 30 male and 25 female, whose average age at revision was 73 years. The average time to fracture after arthroplasty was 7 months. The fracture was spiral in 37 cases. Treatment with a reconstruction prosthesis gave the highest rate of complications including 5 deaths out of 23 cases.

Résumé

55 fractures de type I ont été recencées, comptant 30 hommes et 25 femmes d’âge moyen 73 ans. Le délai moyen de survenue est de 7 mois après l’arthroplastie. Le trait est spiroïde dans 37 cas. Parmis les trois types de traitement employés (orthopédique, ostéosynthèse, reconstruction prothétique), la reconstruction prothétique a donné le plus grand nombre de complications dont 5 décès précoces (sur 23 cas).
