Summary
There are distinct, statistically highly significant correlations between lithogenetic features and physico-mechanical properties of Tertiary decalcification clays /terrae calcis/ occurring in karst depressions in the Jurassic limestone-bedrock from Central Poland. Close dependence of the physical-mechanical properties on lithogenesis, i.e., the basic hypothesis of regional engineering-geological soil sciences, is validated by correlation and factor analyses of properties of the soil studied and may be accepted as theory or even a law.
