Zusammenfassung

Teilstücke von Fensterprofilen, gefertigt aus mit PVAc-Leim verbundenen Nadelholzlamellen, wurden einem Differenzklima über 19 Monate lang ausgesetzt. An den Elementen wurden Feuchteverlauf und Formänderung gemessen. Die Lamellenprofile nahmen während des Versuchsablaufes zeitweise hohe Feuchtewerte an. Dies wurde teilweise durch offene Leimfugen verstärkt. Der Feuchtegehalt verlief bevorzugt parallel zur rel. Feuchte und antizyklisch zur Sonnenscheindauer. Die Feuchteverteilung in den Profilen war ein entscheidender Faktor für die teilweise starken Formänderungen bezüglich Krümmung und Verdrehung.

Abstract

The parts of window frames, produced by laminating softwood profiles using PVAc glues, were exposed to both indoor and outdoor climatic conditions (“differential climate”) for 19 months. The profiles, especially their outer portions, gained large amounts of moisture during exposure, what was partly increased by delamination. The moisture content and dimensional changes were recorded. The moisture content was dependent on the relative humidity, and inversely dependent on the daily duration of sun. The distribution of moisture in profiles is the decisive factor affecting dimensional stability, particularly bowing and distortion.
