Abstract
For the effective quality control during particleboard production, a new continuously working and automatic surface testing procedure is now available. Defects such as damage, open or through-sanded outer layers, pressure spots, oil-, grease- or glue spots, rough edges and missawn formats can be detected. By means of a microprocessor-controlled system, this new method of detection is linked with a defect analyser and automatic sorter.
