Summary
Cost of production and economic problems in the chipboard-manufacturing are disenssed and described in details. The main cost-factors, as, wood, adhesives, electric power, heat, wages and amortization and their influence on the total cost of production are explained and examined more closely. A survey in tables of these costs, which were inquired in several countries, gives an interesting and instructive comparison. It is shown that for a medium mechanized plant the profilableness begins at about 2/5 of its capacity-utilization, and above that it works with profil. Concluding a forecast on the future development is given under the aspects of marketenlargement and technical improvement of the mechanical plants.
