Summary

Within the scope of engineering geological classification of crystalline rock massifs processes of weathering and their products on fault lines and tectonic contacts have been studied with regard to the construction of large dams in the Bohemian Massif region. The fundamental factors influencing the origin and the character of residua and the morphology of mineral grains on the discontinuity surfaces have been pointed out. The fundamental factors are hydration, hydrolysis, limonitization, chloritization, epidotization with the pressure deformation of the fault clay. Examples of the character of these residua from the fault lines in paragneiss, magmatite, amphibolite and granodiorite are given.

Résumé

Dans le cadre de la classification géotechnique des massifs cristallins, on a étudié les processus de l'altération et ses produits sur les lignes de faille et les contacts tectoniques, en vue de la construction de grands barrages dans le Massif de Bohême. Les facteurs fondamentaux influant sur l'origine et les caractéristiques des résidus et la morphologie des minéraux en grains sur les surfaces des discontinuités ont été mis en évidence. Ce sont l'hydratation, l'hydrolyse, la limonitisation, la chloritisation, l'épidotisation avec la déformation par pression des minéraux lamellaires. Des examples sont données de la morphologie des grains de ces résidus provenant de failles dans différentes roches (paragneiss, migmatites, amphibolites et granodiorites).
