Abstract

A study of the stability of plane Poiseuille flow at higher Reynolds number is made. Within a “triple-deck” structural framework, the qualitative behavior of the eingenvalue of Orr-Sommerfeld equation is analytically obtained. The corresponding eigenfunction is formulated approximately.
