Abstract
Substituted N-(meso-porphyrinylmethyl)amines have been synthesized for the first time by the transamination ofmeso-dimethylaminomethylporphyrins with various amines, including derivatives of amino acids and dipeptides, in the presence of methyl (or ethyl) iodide.
