Schüler-Multiplikatorenkurs über Alkohol- und Tabakprobleme

Selon un modèle Scandinave, deux écoliers (une fille et un garçon) chaqun d'une des 10 à 12 classes de 7ème degré (13 ans) sont instruits durant un cours de 4 jours par le bureau de prévention de l'alcoolisme et le service médical des écoles de Bâle à fin de devenir des “specialistes” en question de problèmes de tabac et de l'alcool.

De retour dans leurs classes, ces médiateurs influencent leurs camarades en direction de renoncement à la consommation.

Summary

According to a model from Scandinavia two children (one girl and one boy) per class from 10–12 classes (grade 7, 13 years of age) are trained to become “experts” on alcohol and tobacco problems during a 4 days' course organized by the service for prevention of alcoholism and the School Health Service of Basle.

Back in school, these mediators influence their follow students by lectures and informal discussions with the intention that students abstain from alcohol and tobacco.

A small evaluation study gives evidence of the fact that such health education by peers increases the motivation of young people not to start with the consumption of alcohol and tobacco.
