A new genus of Hyphomycetes,Tawdiella Gen. Nov. has been described on the basis of type speciesT. doliiformis sp. nov. from soil of India and dedicated to Prof.N. R. Tawde, on the occasion of his joining as the 2nd Vice-chancellor of Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
