Abstract
It is proved that every finite incidence group which is neither projective nor affine has at least dimension three. There is also an estimation of the dimension by means of the dimension of the affine kernel. The result can be improved under special conditions. The paper contains also two caracterizations of the commutative finite incidencegroups.
