Low-energy scattering by singular potentials in the linearized approximation to Calogero's equation

Abstract

The linearized Calogero equation for tanδ l (r) has never been applied to singular potentials with a repulsive core. It is shown that the solution can be written in the form of integrals. Even in the low-energy limit rough estimates can at least be obtained. This can be seen from a comparison of scattering-lengths calculated, both exactly and approximately, for negative-power potentials.
