Abstract

A method has been developed for the preparation of tert-butoxycarbonylandno-3-hydroxymethylceph-2-em-4-carboxylic acid, which is an intermediate for the preparation of new antibiotic derivatives with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, or antitumor activity.
