Abstract

Characterized by multiple pulmonary artery aneurysms and peripheral venous thromboses, the Hughes-Stovin syndrome is a rare and usually fatal disorder of unknown etiology which occurs almost exclusively in young males. The clinical presentation may include cough or hemoptysis and venous thromboses either in the extremities, the dural sinuses, the vena cavae, or the right atrium. A report of a case, a discussion of the clinical, radiologic, and pathologic findings, and a review of the literature is presented.
