Bone marrow uptake of99mTechnetium-sulfur colloid after severe abdominal trauma in children

Abstract

Increased bone marrow uptake of99mTechnetium sulfur colloid is often seen in chronic liver diseases and severe anaemia. Four children with increased bone marrow uptake following severe, blunt abdominal trauma are described and the possible causes discussed.
