Abstract

Sciatic hernia, the protrusion of pelvic contents through the greater sacrosciatic foramen, is the rarest of all hernias. Herniation of the ureter through this foramen is rarer still. Five cases have been reported, only one other in a child. The anatomy and characteristic roentgenographic appearance of this entity are described.
