Aortic rupture in a previously undiagnosed case of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

Abstract

Rupture of the thoracic aorta in a 12-year-old boy with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and his sudden death are discussed. A review of the literature substantiates the rarity of major vascular catastrophies of any sort in children.
