Abstract
An intermediate, which proved to be a dimer of N-(α-methylpyrrolino)-2-aminopyridine, was isolated during the synthesis of 2-methyl-7-azatryptamine from 2-pyridylhydrazine andγ- chloropropyl methyl ketone under mild conditions.
