  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Conclusions

1. The alkylation reaction of brevicarine have been studied in detail.

The structural formula I proposed for brevicarine [1-methyl-4-(4-methylaminobutyl)-β-carboline] has been confirmed by NMR and mass spectroscopy.
