The structures of feroside and of reoselin a — New glycosides from the roots ofFerula korshinskyi

Summary

Two new glycosides — feroside and reoselin A — have been isolated from the roots ofFerula korshinskyi Eug. Korov. On the basis of their chemical properties and spectra it has been established that feroside is karatavikin 11′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside and reoselin A is karatavikinol 10′-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside. The structure of karatavikin has been refined.
