Summary
1. The bromoanilide group is proposed for the protection of the 5′-phosphate residue in deoxyribonucleotides.
2. The synthesis of two pentadeoxyribonucleotides reproducing section 1–10 of yeast valine tRNA has been effected by the use of anilide and p-bromoanilide groups.
