Steroid saponins and sapogenins ofAllium XI. Neoalliogenin fromAllium turcomanicum

Summary

In addition to the known spirostans neoagigenin and alliogenin, we have isolated from the skins of the bulbs ofAllium turcomanicum Rgl. a new steroid sapogenin — neoalliogenin, which is (25S)-5α-spirostan-2α, 3β, 5α, 6β-tetraol.
