  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

From the epigeal part ofVinca erecta growing in the village of Sagyrdasht, Tajik SSR, we have isolated vincamine, vincanine, vinervinine, ervamine, akuammicine, vincanidine, akuammine, and a new base C20H22N2O3 with mp 228–229°C, [α] 30D + 71° (c 0.7; methanol).

  2. 2.

On the basis of IR, UV, NMR, and mass spectra on chemical properties, the structure of 11-hydroxypleiocarpamine has been proposed for the new compound.
