Summary
1. The alkaline lipases of cotton seeds consist of four types of enzymes: lipases of long-chain triglycerides, tributyrinases, lipases of the esterase type (triacetinases), and esterases.
2. The enzymes possessing lipase activity at alkaline pH values have been separated preparatively by gel filtration.
