Summary
1. A new sesquiterpene lactone with the composition C20H26O5, mp 117–118°C, which has been named badkhysidin, has been isolated from the resin of the roots ofFerula oopoda (Boiss. et Buhse) Boiss.
2. It has been established that badkhysidin has the structure of 11,13-dihydrobadkhysinin.
