Cardenolides of Erysimum suffruticosum

Conclusion

Seven cardenolides have been isolated from the seeds ofErysium suffruticosum Spreng.: digitoxigenin, strophanthidin, erysimin, desglucocheirotoxin, desglucoerycordin, canescein, and a new glycoside which we have called bipindogulomethyloside. The latter is bipindogenin 3β-O-β-D-gulomethyloside.
