Summary
Structure (I) is proposed for the new sesquiterpene lactone acroptilin isolated fromAcroptilon repens L. (DC.) andCentaurea hyrcanica Bornm. on the basis of the results of reactions performed and an interpretation of IR, UV, NMR, and mass spectra.
