Summary

Milligram and microgram quantities of rhodium were successfully recovered from a simulated oxide ore by fire assay collection in copper. Rhodium was isolated by cation-exchange techniques and determined by standard methods. Acceptable recovery was also obtained from a sulphidic sample containing iron and nickel. Losses to siliceous residue, slag, pot wall, and ion-exchange resin were found to be negligible.
