Synthesis of 2,3,4-trimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine

2,3,4-Trimethylthieno[2,3-b]pyridine was obtained by the reaction of 2,3-dimethyl-5-ammoniathiophene hexachlorostannate with methyl vinyl ketone in the presence of ferric chloride and zinc chloride.
