Abstract
The principles of the electron density distribution in 5,5′-bis-1H-indole, bis(5-indolyl)methane, and bis(5-indolyl) sulfone were determined on the basis of quantum-chemical calculations. Several electrophilic substitution reactions in the bis(5-indolyl) sulfone series were realized.
