Abstract
An in situ method for the synthesis of 1-alkyl-4(5)-hydroxymethyl-1,2,3-triazoles by the action of acetylenic alcohols with alkyl azides as the latter are formed from sodium azide and alkyl halides in dimethylformamide is proposed.
