Abstract
2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinolines readily add alkylbenzenes under the influence of aluminum chloride to form 2,2,4-trimethyl-4-(p-alkylphenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines.
