  • Published:
Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds Aims and scope

Abstract

It is shown that the electrolysis of furan-2-carboxylic, thiophene-2-carboxylic, and selenophene-2-carboxylic acids in dimethylformamide on platinum electrodes gives N-(2-furoyloxymethyl)-N-methylformamide, N-(2-thenoyloxymethyl)-N-methylformamide, and N-(2-selenoyloxymethyl)-N-methylforniamide, respectively.
