Abstract
1,4-Bis(Δ2-pyrazolin-3-yl)benzene derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of dibenzal-p-diacetylbenzene or 1,4-bis(β-dimethylaminopropionyl)benzene with various hydrazines. Some of these derivatives were converted to the corresponding 1,4-bis(3-pyrazolyl)benzene derivatives by oxidative dehydrogenation with sulfur. The absorption and fluorescence spectra of the synthesized compounds were measured, and the fluorescence quantum yields were determined.
