Abstract
Some 2-substituted 4-keto-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,2-e]-1,3-thiazines were obtained by condensation of 2-mercapto-5-ethylthiophene-3-carboxamide with aldehydes and ketones in the presence of gaseous HCl.
