Summary

The upper airway resistance of the glottis was measured synchronously, by means of body plethysmography and a modified interuption technique. Preliminary results obtained from 28 patients with hypotonic dysphonia and from 100 patients with uni- and bilateral vocal cord paralysis are discussed along with their treatment and consequent results using tefloninjections (Beck) and lateral fixations.
