Reproductive behavior in the female shiner perch Cymatogaster aggregata

Abstract

Female shiner perch, Cymatogaster aggregata Gibbons, initiate and display reproductive behaviors that are similar to behaviors shown by males during their reproductive cycle. No consistent quantitative differences in behavior are found when females in three reproductive states are compared.
