Abstract
Spondylo-metaphyseal dysplasia is a group of bone dysplasia characterised by spinal and metaphyseal involvement. Two patients with common type and two with a “new” variety of spondylo-metaphyseal dysplasia are reported. The latter is characterised by rectangular shape of the vertebral bodies and small carpal/tsrsal ossification centres without severe bone age retardation which characterists the common type. We propose to call it spondylo-metaphyseal dysplasia common type II.
