Abstract

With the progress from a society of mass production to mass customization, additive manufacturing (AM) technology is contributing greatly to this trend. A nanoparticle jetting (NPJ) technology, newly developed by XJet, delivers a breakthrough advantage with its ability to reach near net shape of parts. Two manufacturing systems printing ultrafine layers of nanoparticle ‘inks’ are already running in Germany and the USA.
